Development Challenge
The main challenge was building a synchronized, multi-step logistics ecosystem where five different roles (from inventory storekeepers to on-field riders) could interact in real time without data conflicts. Ensuring that riders on the move could access their system easily without requiring heavy native mobile app downloads was another critical hurdle.
Our Solution
We structured a highly secure, role-based access control (RBAC) database schema in MySQL managed by a native PHP backend. This separates the permissions of the Super Admin, Manager, Store Keeper, Delivery dispatcher, and Rider cleanly. To address the mobile performance issue, we implemented Progressive Web App (PWA) technologies. Using custom service workers and manifest files, we turned the web platform into an installable mobile app, allowing riders and customers to use it directly from their phones with low data usage and native-like speed.
Result
The platform successfully automates the workflow from the moment an item enters the warehouse to when a rider delivers it to the customer's doorstep. Real-time updates prevent stock mismatches, while the PWA integration has drastically reduced mobile loading times and improved on-field delivery efficiency for riders using low-end smartphones.
