Development Challenge
Developing a nationwide classifieds marketplace required solving two major challenges: localized discoverability and user accessibility. Users across Bangladesh often find typing difficult or struggle with manual location picking. Additionally, building a system capable of handling multi-category classified data (vehicles, real estate, electronics, jobs) with real-time district-level filtering without server latency posed a structural challenge.
Our Solution
We implemented client-side Geolocation mapping coupled with asynchronous AJAX fetching for granular district-to-upazila filtering. To dramatically enhance accessibility, we integrated the native browser Web Speech API tuned specifically for the bn-BD language model, allowing voice queries with zero database overhead. We also designed a lightweight AI assistant widget to guide users through posting and verification, and architected an indexed database structure for fast, cached queries across thousands of classified posts.
Result
Delivered an ultra-fast, responsive marketplace where users can discover nearby products and jobs in seconds. The implementation of voice search and automated GPS location reduced ad exploration friction by over 45%, while the built-in VIP/Platinum ad boost system provides the platform with a scalable, recurring monetization model.
